Lord help us
We are stuck in St. Louis. Long story short, they overbooked our first flight, so even though we booked this 2 months ago, we didn't get to get on the plane. As a result of that, we missed our connection and now they can't even get us to OKC. The kids are bouncing off the walls...we went from having one layover to now 2 layovers and they can only get us to Dallas. Mom and Dad have to come get us. :( We are so tired and frustrated. Please throw some prayers and well wishes our way...Okay, bye for now...

Hmmmm....games to keep the kids occupied...
ReplyDelete1. Of course, there's always the alphabet game...trying to find things that start with each letter starting with A. Can't make up words...ya know, B-bomb--G-gun...not the things to holler at an airport... :D And although you may feel a bit edgy under the circumstances, do not seek as an opportunity to vent with any naughty words... :D
2. Count gum spots in the carpet...okay, you know you're looking now. :D
3. Try to set off all the automatic stuff in the bathroom at the same time...well, I've heard airport bathrooms are immaculate, so this COULD be fun...
4. oohhh...escalators! Good times!

Bless your heart. Hang in there and hopefully things will get better. I didn't know that an airport could book a flight like that, very irritating!
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, what a crazy challenge to have to face. How long until you can get to Dallas? How far is that from OK? Derrick's family is in St. Louis....now I wish I was there with you and them!

I'm sooooo sorry. What a bummer way to start off your trip. We leave Sunday morning early...so not only will I be praying that your situation is rectified but also that we don't have a similar case of luck : )

How frustrating! They should bump some single people, not a family with children. I hope you don't have any other flight problems. Good luck!

ReplyDeletethat's awful Stacey. I totally understand how you are feeling since that happened to us going to Trinidad. I pray you get there in one piece and that the rest of your holiday is blessed. Just remember this will pass even thought that is easier said than done.
ReplyDeleteThanks ladies. They did give us 3 vouchers for $250 each to compensate us for them bumping us, and then they gave us $30 in meal vouchers to eat at a restaurant at the airport. It was just such a mess though...and we didn't end up flying to Dallas. I'll have to write about that in another blog...
