Makes My Heart Smile blog award!

Even with my long time in between posts, and my slow replies to your blog posts, I was blessed by my friend Charity with this sweet award!

Makes_My_Heart_Smile-796584

Since Charity is one who I would give an award to I feel very honored that she gave one to me! Thank you!

Rules of this award are as follows:
1)The winner may put the logo on their blog.
2)Put a link to the person who sent you the award.
3)Nominate 10 blogs.
4)Put a link to their blogs.
5)Leave a message for your nominees.

So here I go!

I would like to nominate…  (In no particular order :)

Nikki – at Rants and Raves from the White House
*You are always there with supportive words of encouragement even though you are facing your own struggles.  You are a true blessing, and I’m so glad we are back in touch.

Baloney – Even though I know her real name, I just like saying Baloney.  Baloney, baloney, baloney.  :)  This is one blogger friend whom I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting in real life, but who has blessed me time and time again with helpful advice and words of encouragement regarding our sweet Eli.  You have been so helpful, and I am so thankful for your friendship

Wendy -  You are such a faithful reader of my blog, and leave the sweetest comments.  Getting to meet up with you a while back was so wonderful, and we will have to do it again when you are back up!  Thank you for being so sweet!!!

Nikki Fry – There are only a few reasons why I don’t hate Alabama with all my heart, and you are one of them! Your family has meant so much to not only me, but to Norman and Eli ever since we all met back in 2004.  Or 2005…whenever it was, I am thankful for us being neighbors!  I’ve only had 3 neighbors that I’ve truly adored, and you are one of them!!!! Thank you so much for being beautiful both inside and out.  I love you!

Reina -  You are perhaps one of the boldest, bravest women I know, and one of the strongest Christian women I have ever been blessed to meet.  You have helped me face some of the most difficult decisions I’ve had to face and not feel alone.  You encourage me and bless me in ways you will never know.  And on a superficial note, I have some really rockin’ jewelry from that jewelry party you had! :)

Melinda – What in the world do I say about Melinda? This woman can do it all…Not only is she a devoted friend, she is a wonderful mother to her two adorable boys, a great wife to my friend Josh, and a wonderful Christian example to those who know her.  She is freaking like Wonder Woman.  Please go visit her blog to learn how to make your own bread… Seriously.  She can cook!  I’m still hanging my head over that one…  No way will I attempt that…

Ally – I have watched you grow in your faith and you encourage me by your daily walk.  We are a lot alike my blonde buddy… I miss you terribly, and am so thankful for the time we had together in Ohio!  You are a strong momma, and you have two beautiful babies… You are a blessing to all who know you Ally…

Amanda – I’ve known Amanda for many, many years because we attended the best church camp ever together when we were kids!  We just recently found each other again via Melinda’s blog, and I am so happy to be back in touch!  What a small world…we both ended up being military families!

Shawna – I should say Dayona, because we all know that Day does the writing, but I’ll say Shawna anyway!  You are such a beautiful person, and your spirit is always so happy and uplifting to those around you.  I look so forward to my trips home because I know I will be seeing you and getting to chat a bit with you on Sundays.  :)  You are one of the sweetest people I know!

Katie – We’ve been friends for a very long time…since we were kiddos.  I’m glad we are back in touch, and so very happy to keep up with your beautiful family!

Whew! Okay, that’s 10.  Alright, it’s your turn now!  And by the way I could have listed more than 10, but I just stopped there.  All my bloggy friends mean so much to me, and I’m so thankful we keep up with each others lives this way!

  6. Thanks Stacey! That is so sweet! I often think about LCCC and what a great time it was! not only that but how it has affected me, even today! I hope to go back one of these summers and be a camp counselor, how fun would that be? I just want to provide the same experience for kids that was given to me!

And yes, small world! Maybe one day we will be stationed near each other! We are hoping to get up to the DC area someday. My hubby wants to go to USUHS.

So from one military wife to another, thank you for being you and being strong!
