The First 2 Weeks

Eli has successfully completed the first two weeks of kindergarten, been Student of the Week, come home with something from the prize treasure box every day, and is slowly being transitioned from the autistic class to the regular kindergarten classroom!  His teacher is absolutely wonderful; we have a communication notebook, and she writes detailed notes throughout the day, and then I write her back in the evenings.  He’s only been aggressive when provoked, which, who wouldn’t.  I don’t want my child to be a bully, but I sure as heck don’t want him to be bullied either!  So all in all, a very wonderful start to his Kindergarten career!

This weekend we’ve just been enjoying the beautiful weather and relaxing.  We decided to go to the Renaissance Festival next weekend, and just hang out this weekend.  Well…since I’m at a loss for words…(there’s always a first time for everything) I’ll post some pictures I took yesterday of the boys outside playing at the playground.  I’m not ready for the cooler weather…these days are gorgeous!!!

  1. Great pictures of your boys!
That is so great that you keep a notebook with the teachers. I have no such luck. Not even when Michael was younger and I begged for it.
Anxious to hear how your year progresses.

  2. I'm glad he has had a fantastic two weeks. I know what you mean by the bullying. Thats great that he is moving to the regular class.

I love this weather, but I'm not ready for the colder weather. I like it to be in the 70's.

I don't remember seeing glasses on him before???

  5. Baloney, I know we are so blessed here...it is scary to know that our move is coming up and I have no idea about what the new kindergarten classroom will be like. Here they incorporate ABA into their teaching...I'm just sick about leaving.

Stacey, yep, Eli was prescribed glasses in May due to his having an astigmatism. He's already on his 3rd pair from losing/breaking the previous 2 pair, so some of his pics have been without him wearing them and some have him wearing them.

    Thanks Kat...and Amen Charity!
