I’m in a funk…

I published a blog the other day and then deleted it.  I wrote other blogs and deleted them.  I am just in a mood, and that little saying that all our mothers taught us about “if you can’t say anything nice…don’t say it at all” has kept me pretty quiet lately. 

I’m bummed about leaving.  But I’m tired of Norman never being home.  It is wearing on all of us, and I am getting to the point where I realize I have hit the wall with this situation.  I cannot do it much longer, so thankfully, we don’t have to.  I’m sick of the neighborhood I’m in.  I’ve made some really great friends here, but mainly the mentality is “I’m better than everyone else because I’m an officer’s wife”.  Let me say first off that I am an officers wife, so we are all not this way.  My best friends are enlisted wives.  I can count on one hand the number of officer’s wives friends I have, because the attitude is something I just cannot handle.  There is this idea about how snotty officers wives are, and I have to say that it’s pretty dead on.  There are exceptions to every rule, and I am sure that lots of people will disagree with me and that’s fine; we all have different experiences.  All I can base my opinion on is what I’ve seen the last 8 years, and that is my conclusion.  I’ve never been stabbed in the back by my enlisted friends, but officer’s wives can do it with a smile.  I’m over it.  I’m over the “Loop” drama.  OVER IT. 

I’m just tired.  I’ve got so much to do and so little time to do it. I need a maid.  I need 4 washers and dryers, and I need to get over the need for sleep to get it all done.  And that’s all I got for the blog tonight ;).  Ciao peeps…and thanks for keeping up with me even when I can’t keep up with myself… :)
