I can’t believe it has been 2 weeks, and I am just now at a point where I can sit down and blog about this! Things have been really hectic!
This will be mainly pictures, and if you are my friend on Facebook then you’ve already seen them. :) The day was beautiful. The fellows’ graduation ceremony was held at the Library of Congress, and their reception was held in a Members Only room upstairs. It was a wonderful experience to get to live in Washington and for Norman to do the things he’s been blessed to do. We miss it already…
The building is absolutely beautiful!!
The reception was held in a lovely Members Only room…
After that, we went to the Capitol to say goodbye to the people in Norman’s Congressman’s office…
This pic is of Chase looking down into the Capitol Visitor’s Center
We took the underground tunnels to get to the Rayburn House Office Building…
And while we were there, we were lucky enough that Congressman Rodriguez happened to pop in the office…
Chase even got a little one on one time with him :). It was really sweet!
Then it was time to go, and Norman made his last trip from his office to the metro stop…It was really sad for me!
That was an emotional day for me…None of us was ready to leave DC, but that’s life. That’s the military :). You go where you’re sent, and as long as we go together then that’s all that matters… Goodbye Washington…
Congrats to Norman!
